課程概述

The course is designed to provide students with the basic principles and techniques of genetic counseling, to look at a variety of issues inherent in the professional practice of genetic counseling, including psychological, social, religious, political and health care systems & policy issues pertaining to genetic disorder and the provision of genetic counseling. 

課程目標
To enable students to:
1. demonstrate an understanding of the skill of a good genetic counseling, including history taking, crisis intervention, risk calculation etc.
2. understand and become familiar with relevant psychological, social, religious, political and health care systems & policy issues pertaining to the provision of genetic counseling.
3. understand and effectively utilize core ethical and legal principles, the NSGC code.
